Bus Riding Privilege

Riding the bus is a privilege, and we believe in fostering good behavior among our students. To ensure the safety of everyone on the bus, students must adhere to all school rules and procedures. Unacceptable behavior or violation of bus rules may result in restrictions or suspension of bus privileges. However, students may appeal any bus suspension through the designated appeal process.

Bus Rules - "Don't Lose Your Riding Privilege"

To ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers on the bus, we have established a set of bus rules that we kindly request every student to follow:

  • Be on time:  Arrive at the bus stop promptly to avoid any delays.
  • Respect others and the driver:  Treat fellow students and the bus driver with kindness and respect.
  • Stay seated:  Remain seated throughout the journey and keep the aisle and exits clear.
  • No foul language or obscene gestures:  Maintain courteous and appropriate behavior at all times.
  • No food, drinks, or smoking:  Eating, drinking, and smoking are not allowed on the bus.
  • Keep the bus intact:  Students and parents/guardians are responsible for any damages to the bus caused by misconduct.
  • Follow the driver's instructions:  For the safety of everyone, listen to the bus driver and follow their guidance.
  • No dangerous items:  Firearms, weapons, or dangerous objects are strictly prohibited on the bus.
  • Share your seat:  Be considerate and share seats, especially with younger students.
  • Quiet at railroad crossings:  Maintain absolute quiet when the bus approaches a railroad crossing.
  • Parent/guardian accompaniment:  Kindergarten, first-grade, and special needs students must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the designated bus stop.
  • Communicating with the driver:  Parents/guardians are not permitted on the bus and should approach the driver's side window to communicate with the driver.

By working together and following these guidelines, we can create a safe and enjoyable transportation experience for all our students. If you have any questions or concerns about transportation, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your cooperation and support in making our school transportation system successful!
