Library at Tonalea Day School

The Tonalea Day School library is our learning center’s information headquarters. A place where the world is brought to our students’ fingertips, where books, digital technologies, librarians, and community resources introduce students to people and places beyond their imaginations. Students and parents/guardians are encouraged to visit our knowledge station to promote continued literacy development.

Our students are developing into our Navajo community’s future leaders, creators, and thinkers by searching our library shelves and engaging with various lessons and media presentations.

Teachers regularly bring their classes to the library to study and interact with diverse languages, cultures, and communities.

Our educators and students are proud of our library’s ability to raise every student’s global and cultural awareness. Book fairs, story time programs, and e-book platforms increase our students’ literacy, reading comprehension, phonics, and math skills.
